Montserrat hosts annual international fishing competition

BRADES, Montserrat: The Montserrat Tourist Board (MTB) and the Montserrat Fisheries Co-op have hosted their third annual international fishing tournament, since 1995's volcanic eruption. Fifty-two fishermen and 14 boats participated in the 14th annual Montserrat Fishing Tournament.

Montserrat to launch eco-adventure sailing

BRADES, Montserrat: Starting December 1, 2008, a brand new sailing trip between Antigua and Montserrat is scheduled to be launched. The Antiguan based company, Ondeck Group will be facilitating the sailing trips on an ocean racing yacht. Ondeck reports that guests will be encouraged to take an active role.

West Indies selection makes history for Montserrat

BRADES, Montserrat: On October 31, 2008, generations of Montserratians felt pride as the West Indies Cricket Board announced that Lionel Baker was selected as part of the West Indies cricket team, the first player to be selected from Montserrat. Baker is currently on tour with the West Indies team.
